On April 13th, 2022, 39-year-old Karly received life-changing news and was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer) in her right breast and right axillary lymph node. Her specific case is de novo, which essentially means at the initial finding of her cancer she was stage 4 with metastasis to her sacrum as well. She is finishing her last round of Chemo on September 9th, 2022; however, she is now approaching surgery in the next coming month (date not set yet) which is to include a mastectomy on her right breast as well as the removal of lymph nodes. Karly has been working full time throughout her chemo treatment, but her recovery from surgery will require her to miss work for six weeks for proper healing due to draining tubes, not lifting more than 9 pounds, and not being able to lift her arms properly for eating, cooking, and bathing. It’s quite a surgery. Karly would like her mother, Mayra, to be her live-in caretaker for the six weeks while her husband, Brad, works and cares for meals and their three sons, Lucas (6), Nathan (2), and Ethan (2).

Your giving will go directly to financially supporting Karly and Mayra with the ability to take time from work for six weeks without financial hardship and stress on Karly’s body allowing her to heal fully.

We humbly ask for monetary donations to help cover costs of living, hospital and medical bills, etc. that will be incurred. Any amount you give will be greatly appreciated.
