Hi Everyone,
As many of you may know my daughter Karli has Cystic Fibrosis and has been battling this incurable disease her whole life. Karli is currently 29 with an outgoing, energetic personality. Karli has always loved life and loves being a mom to her 2 small sons. Karli is also passionate about people and loves her job as a registered nurse. Neither of these titles came easily. Getting through the nursing program having Cystic Fibrosis was a heavy load to carry and Karli’s determination was unwavering. After graduating nursing school and getting her feet wet as a nurse Karli’s determination to live a “normal” life guided her to have not 1 but 2 babies in a 16 month span. Although Karli is still her determined self, these last few months have proven to be extremely challenging both medically and financially.
In the beginning of September Karli spent nearly 5 weeks in the hospital away from her family, she was readmitted again in December and is now back in the hospital fighting H1N1, bacterial pneumonia, and strep throat.
While I have watched Karli fight her entire life, these past months have really taken a toll on her. She lives in constant fear of losing her job, not being able to pay to keep her children in daycare so that her husband can continue to work, being unable to pay her day-to-day bills, not to mention the fear of not being there for her children and husband.
Our family has fought hard not to ask for help as we know the many struggles everyone is faced with. With that being said, we can no longer do this without the help of our family and friends and thus the reason for this Go-Fund-Me. We want Karli to be able to focus on getting better and not going to sleep every night worried about how they will survive financially. Any amount you are able to donate is greatly appreciated.
