Our brother, Karl, suffered a severe epileptic seizure and went into cardiac arrest on the 3rd December. Karl was resuscitated and admitted to Northern General Hospital, where surrounded by his family and friends, he fought hard for six days.
Over these days he progressed further into multi-organ failure, and to our devastation our brother, son, and best friend, due to the lack of oxygen to the brain, was declared brain dead, and passed on the 9th December.
Karl was incredible, he loved his family, he loved horses, he loved cars, he loved steak and he loved to laugh. Karl has been the centrepiece of our family for the past 20 years, after our dad dying we’ve all played a role in raising him. Karl was meant to start university in January, he had such a promising future, he was so motivated and helped our family so much with that motivation. Karl has been robbed of that future.
Karl celebrated his 20th birthday a week before he passed.
We are reaching out to ask for support with the cost of his burial, funeral, and headstone. Please, even if you are unable to donate, share where you can, and say a prayer if able!
We are awaiting a funeral date currently, but are aiming for the end of Jan 26’. We hope to raise as much as possible by then, so we can lay him to rest the way he deserves.
