As many of you already know, my mom, Karla, had a kidney transplant on October 13th, 2021. Her transplant has been a huge success, and her kidney function has held strong this whole time.

However, she has had one hell of a fight over the past year. Being on immune-suppression drugs to combat any chance of rejecting the kidney, she has continued to fight infections. She has had E.Coli four times in the past few months. This last time really took her body for a spin.

The past 18 days, my mom has been in the hospital and has been through every possible scare you can imagine. I thought this was the easiest way to keep everyone updated on what is going on.

I have had many people reach out and ask how they can help…I have created a GoFundMe to help with all of her needs. Please know, my mom is not one to ask for help, but I am willing to ask for her. If you feel inclined to give, it is greatly appreciated. If you want to share with others, please do that as well.

Once she is out of the hospital, we will also need help with meals, rides, and maybe just friends for stop and see her and lift her spirits, so I will ask for those things when she is ready! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, thoughts, ideas, etc.
