Karla's Breast Cancer Fund

Our dear friend Karla Daniels discovered a lump in her breast in October of 2018.  She has no insurance but was able to get the help of medical grants to pay for an MRI and biopsy.  The lab results showed Karla has stage 3 breast cancer in three areas including one in her lymph nodes.  Karla's doctor wants Karla to undergo a full PET scan and start chemotherapy immediately but Karla needs funds to pay for the scan and treatments.   We are asking for whatever you can afford to give to help Karla get the necessary chemotherapy.

Karla is 51 years old and a single mother of one.  She works as a paralegal for a sole practitioner where she has worked for the past 12 years.  Karla is the sole caretaker of both her 80 year old aunt who has ongoing medical issues and her uncle who has a terminal illness.  In 2013, Karla was diagnosed with ovarian cancer--a battle that she won!  Unfortunately, the costs she incurred throughout that ordeal has left her without sufficient funds to have kept up insurance premiums or to now bear the costs of chemo for her breast cancer.  

Karla is hoping that she can get some insurance in the near future to help pay the costs of continued treatment and eventually, for the costs of a lymphadenectomy.   But now, she needs our help.
