Karla Needs Our Help

On May 9th, after speaking at a church in Lubbock with the Mercy Gate crew, our warrior Karla was taken to the ER in Snyder for chest pain, dizziness, and unbearable pain in her abdomen. Snyder thought she was having a heart attack and felt she needed to go to another hospital that was more equipped. They called care flight to come get her, but was told that there was a tornado and they were grounded. The ambulance arrived quickly and took her to Abilene where they thought she was going to need a pacemaker! Her heart rate dropped to 27 beats a minute for way too long.

After A LOT of additional testing, they felt it could be the vagus nerve. They released her and said to follow-up with her doctor in Kerrville. This was Friday and by Sunday she’s back in the ER In Kerrville. They admitted her and kept her overnight for observation. She was released today without definitive answers.

Karla doesn’t have insurance and her amazing family needs our help. Her husband has missed a lot of work in addition to medical bills that will be outrageous.

If you’ve known Karla for any amount of time you know that she has not only scaled mountains that most will never have to climb, but she wars daily for others.

Recently, Karla walked hand in hand with a child having to testify in open court about what her abusers did to her. Not one trial, but two. Karla was there every day speaking God’s truth over her. Karla was her person. Karla is many people’s ‘person’.
