Greetings,

Kari Drame (they/he) is a trans multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles. A vital member of their community, Kari is a living example of care, generosity, and creativity as praxis. Additionally they truly enrich the lives of everyone they meet.

In late January they had a near death experience that resulted in them undergoing an emergency surgery to remove a rare ovarian cyst. This traumatic procedure ended with them having to undergo a bilateral oophorectomy thus losing both ovaries. Due to the urgency of this medical crisis, they were unable to prepare financially, physically, or emotionally. Kari as a result now aside from experiencing limited mobility as a result of the procedure requires daily doses of various medications and hormones and is trying to accept the sudden changes to their body and life.

The funds being raised will go directly towards Kari’s healing process. This includes paying off the hospital bills, cost of medication, therapy costs, in addition to life expenses.
