Hello,
I am setting up this page to try and help my mother and 95 year old grandmother get back on their feet. Last night a fire destroyed my family's bar and the residence above it where my mother and grandmother lived. The bar was located in historic old north st. louis and was where my mother grew up. She moved back a few years ago to take care of my grandmother after my uncle died and has since been fighting an uphill battle to restore the buildings while making enough to survive. Unfortunatley because the building where they lived was considered a commercial building, she was unable to afford insurance and other than the bones of the building it is a huge loss.
She had finally got to a point where she was shopping for an insurance agent and was renting out the bar to help pay the bills, but now she has lost everything. Their clothes, furniture, and place to live are completely destroyed. Thanks to the genorisity and kindness of neighbors they have a place to stay for the night, but will soon need to start rebuilding their lives.
Since none of the property lost will be able to be reimbursed, any amount donated will be a huge help while they attempt to put their lives back together.
