Karing for Kenya

Hi everyone! My name is Eve Clausen and I am a nursing student at Chamberlain University in Charlotte, North Carolina. This September, I will be traveling to Nairobi, Kenya with my university to work in urban areas and clinics providing medical care, health education, and preventative screenings. Kenya faces numerous problems in relation to their healthcare system, the biggest issue being the lack of access and resources available to them. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention name Kenya as one of the most in need countries for healthcare support (CDC, 2019). The clinics that I will be volunteering at are in desperate need of basic medical supplies and funding; this is where you can help! I am allotted two checked luggage bags and my hope is to fill them as much as possible with medical supplies to donate. In addition, I hope to donate money to the clinics so that they can purchase much needed equipment and medications for their patients. There are two ways to donate:

1. Donate through GoFundMe! These funds will be used to purchase medical supplies that I can bring for donatation and the rest will be a monetary donation to the clinics we are volunteering at. Any amount can make a huge impact for this community!

2. Mail me medical supplies! If you are interested in donating supplies, email me at [email redacted] and I will provide you shipping information and a list of requested supplies that the clinics need.

Any donations are immensely appreciated not only from myself, but from the community in Kenya! God bless!
