Karina's Journey

Hi! My name is Emma and I’m a part of a wonderful family of six and an aunt to three angels. My parents, Alan and Kelly, my older brothers Andrew and Adam, and my sister-in-law, Khloe. Adam and Khloe have blessed all our lives with those three angels: Axton (4), Karina (2), and Kenzington (3 months).

Karina has been in and out of the hospital and ER for a month, so it has been hard to stay organized and maintain a balanced schedule. Adam is on unpaid leave. This fundraiser is to help Adam and Khloe support their medical bills, gas (they need to drive from Colorado Springs to Children’s Hospital in Aurora for treatment), food, and daycare for Axton.

Doctors are still running more tests, but it is looking like she has idiopathic severe aplastic anemia. This is a very rare disease, (1 in a million) so I’m asking for your support. Treatment options include a bone marrow transplant (the only cure) if there’s a good match or immunosuppressive therapy.
