Karina and Her Mom Need Your Help

Before winter break, Karina and her mother were involved in a severe car accident, leaving both in critical condition. Karina was placed in a medically induced coma and has only recently awakened. However, she is still in critical condition, struggling to eat, speak, or perform basic functions on her own. She will require intensive therapy to regain her abilities and begin her long road to recovery.

Her mother, who is still recovering herself, is facing financial hardship, including the risk of eviction and difficulty covering basic necessities. As she focuses on caring for Karina, we want to help relieve some of the financial burden on their family.

We are asking for any support you can give—whether through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or connecting us with resources. Funds raised will go toward rent, food, medical expenses, and other essentials for Karina and her family.

Mom is open to visitors, and Karina is currently receiving care at Memorial Hermann Medical Center (children's side) on Fannin St in room number 8066. She will be transferred to Texas Children’s Hospital Medical Center in the coming week, though the exact date is unknown.
