Hi all, 

I'm Brandon, Karin's husband, and I'm asking for your help to give my wife the birthday experience of a lifetime. 

 Karin wants to do something special for her 50th. Something a bit bigger than your average birthday party. Something that connects with her as a person. 

She wants to go to Finland, the land of her ancestors, to see the sights and to see the northern lights in person. 

I want to aim for sending her off in late September, when the aurora shines brightly, but it’s not bitterly frozen. Funds will go to flights, lodging, and activities. Given some rough estimates, the $3000 goal should allow for a flight, and some midrange activities for a week or so, figuring a $250usd per day burn rate and about  $1000 in airfare, just to be safe.
