My Sister Kari was diagnosed with Breast Cancer that had spread into her lymph nodes in 7/16 during that time her blood work also came back that her blood was a triple negative and that did not allow her to do maintenance pills after treatment was over.

Kari Started a 4 month chemo in 8/16 she went through it with a positive attitude and never let anyone be negative around her.  She had a double Mastectomy in 12/16 and during that surgery she had tissue expanders put in so she would be ready for reconstruction surgery down the road,  just the next day she went home and was back that night after she had hematoma in her right side surgery site and the surgeon went in and said he was able to see the clot and she was better.  A week passed by and my sister called me to come get my nephew Dylan she had severe pain and a high fever and my brother in law Ray was rushing her to the hospital.  We found out the next couple days that she would be in the Hospital another 6 days due to the right side surgery site where she had gone septic and ended up getting MRSA.

Everything seemed to be going okay, she just needed to rest up and get healthy for 7.5 weeks of radiation, then another infection on her right side surgery site, at this time the plastic surgeon was going to go in and remove both tissue expanders.  When surgery was over the surgeion removed right side expander but left the left one in and sealed it.

Kari completed Radiation April of 2017, her hair was growing back and her outlook on life was great! she focused on her health and her family.

The reason I am here today asking for your help is that my sister just 6 months later was complaining that she was developing pain under her left armpit, her Lymphedema Doctor was skeptical that, that pain was caused by her mild lymphedema and in fact I should have her Oncologist check it out.  She was already scheduled with her Oncologist that month to do her check up scans and blood work.  She met with her Dr. and he was also concerned about the pain and a few lumps under the left lower axilla.  She went and did a Bone, PET and CT Scans in one day and my Sister and her Husband Ray followed up with the Dr. a week later.  She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer Recurrance and it develop in the Chest wall and part of the bone witch made this a Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer.  Again Kari was really calm about the whole thing she was going to UC Davis where a Dr. there wanted to talk about a study, unfortunately the study would not be for her but she was ready to embark on the fight of her life with 2 very aggressive chemos that she would do 2 weeks on and 1 week off for 6 months.  Whitin the first 3 months she was doing very well and she was able to move her arm again. (which I did not mention before she was unable to use her left arm due to pain and un mobile), her pain was liveable at a 5 pain level.

During this whole time she was in the Hospital either every week or every other week due to her Counts for platelets and hemoglobin were so bad.  She was exhausted all of the time

Another month goes by and she is starting to complain of the pain as week by week it was progressing, Ray and my sister meet with the Dr. again where scans were showing that the chemo had stopped working and her cancer was spreading again.  Where we are at with Kari now is she was just released from the Hospital again this time she is being admitted for complications from her cancer like infections (Cellutitus), severe eye damage that can never be repaired and severe pain is her day to day issue.  She is on quite a bit of pain meds that they just keep adding and adding and nothing is helping her.  On Saturday 11/3 Kari was in the hospital again for pain, they did a CT Scan that had done in her chest wall and were able to get a clear view of her left lower axilla, this pain is caused only by her CANCER which has taken over all of her tissue in her arm, chest wall, shoulders, shoulder blade and lower axilla.
surgery is NOT an option they would have to remove up to 3 maybe more ribs and completely inoperable in her chest wall.  She has agreed to continue doing some sort of chemo Gemzar it is not a cure for cancer but hopes to slow the cancer from growing at a faster pace.   They have also found something from CBD International that is a very possibly could make a difference the only problem is that of course it is not covered by insurance and is out of pocket a month is $1249.00 .  I know my brother in law  is going to work overtime weekends and nights if he has to, to find the money he will do whatever it takes.  Kari is not working due to her pain level and all the medications she is on along with her left arm is not mobile again.  I want to help my Sister, nobody is accepting the fact that we are going to lose her, It's not an Option.  I hope that I can help her and her family out.
