Housing 4 adults with disabilities
Tax deductible
We’re giving 110% to raise $110,000.
At Karen’s Hope, we're building our first home to help young adults with autism and other disabilities live an independent life with the proper support under a self-directed program.
Why is this so important? Once the individual reaches age 21, reality hits hard! Parents begin to wonder what will happen to their child if something happens to them. Where will their child live? Who will take care of him or her? It’s a tremendous concern for any parent.
We’re trying to change all that. At Karen’s Hope, we’re building a clean, safe, loving atmosphere for young adults with disabilities. This new home is specially designed to offer independent living, as well as educational and social programs. Help us help these families who are in so much need.
Your donations are needed to allow us to finish building our first home, which will offer individuals a viable option for independent living with support.
After a long and involved process, here's what we've accomplished so far:
• We have secured the title to a home in foreclosure
• We’ve received a grant from Nassau County HUD to begin the renovations
• We have formulated an educational curriculum and instituted social programs including Rapid Prompting Method, a highly recognized, life-changing teaching technique
Become part of the success. Donate what you can. Thank you.
Suggested amounts
• $25
• $50

Your donations will help young adults with disabilities live in a clean, safe, loving environment.
