Hi there! Karen's squad has come together to start this gofundme page . Karen was diagnosed back in August with a rare form of Lymphoma.  She has handled it like a champ and would not accept help from her friends other than meals. Well...her friends don't listen very well! Cancer is expensive, no doubt, even with insurance. The last thing any patient needs to worry about is a financial burden. To add to this blow of a cancer diagnosis, Hurricane Matthew blew through our neighborhood and in to Karen and Rob's home, flooding their downstairs. Homeowner's insurance does not cover flood damage. The repairs on Karen and Rob's home will costs tens of thousands of dollars. As most proud families would feel and like the fighters that they are, her and Rob are ready to tackle all of this without much help. However, they are far too special to us. We will not let them saddle these burdens alone. If you know Karen and Rob (and sweet Baby Weston), you know that they would do anything for anyone without hesitation. They are two of the most kind hearted people we know and we want them to know their nieghborhood, friends, family, coworkers, fellow runners, and VB community has their back!
