Karen's Recovery and Rehabilitation

Hey Everyone:

As some of you may know or have heard I was involved in a freak accident Friday night which involved me getting pinned in between my car and the brick wall in our carport.

I am very lucky that I survived the hit and was not paralyzed. Now for the hard stuff, I have 5 separate pelvic fractures on my left side and I am unable to to stand or walk on my own . I have been in the hospital since Friday night and will continue to be here for another day or so while waiting on my transfer to be approved. After I am released from the hospital I have to complete a 2-3 week stay in rehab while I relearn to walk and do things on my own again.

Based on the severity of my injuries I will be unable to work or tend to our family needs. Jamel will be the only one working during this time period and he will also take on all parenting and bills solo.

If anyone can donate to my recovery, the funds would be going directly to the medical bills and rehabilitation. We understand times are tough for everyone but we have to try something.
