Hi, my name is Victoria Curran. On October 9th,

I got the call at 3:00 A.M that my mom, Karen Tascione, was giving up her fight to cancer & that not much time remained. I rushed there & stayed by her side, holding her hand until her very last breath. She wouldn’t let go until I told her I would be okay. Almost a year ago she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung and liver cancer. She fought so hard for 11 months. Just to stay here for me. A month ago, all her progress started going downhill. I fought for her to be at NYU where I do indeed feel like they truly did everything they could. I’d like to respect her wishes and go on, growing up without my dad, all I ever knew was my mother and she made sure she played both roles. I’ve lost my first best friend. She was a loving and caring woman who gave me everything she had. She got me through life, high school, and I started college to make her the proudest. She was loved my many, and taken too soon. I would like to help raise money to hold a service for my mother who gave me everything up until she had to say goodbye. Please help me with any amount you can, so we can all say goodbye like we deserve to.
