Hello.
Several years ago, after finding myself unexpectedly unemployed as a casualty of the financial recession, I had the idea of starting my own medical records chronology business. I made this decision based on the work I had and from the representations my clients made to me that there would be plenty of work to come. Fast forward to today, I find that my expectations were a bit optimistic. As a result of this economic situation, I have been forced to liquidate all of my assets to pay rent and living expenses, as the work wasn't as forthcoming as I had been led to believe. My fees were also capped by the insurance companies, who haven't allowed my clients to increase what they pay me.
It became apparent to me that this wasn't viable and have been making a concerted effort to seek other employment all year, both in San Francisco and the Seattle area, as some of you know who have been my references. I am currently waiting to hear if I move to the next stage for a SF manager position. Obviously, because of the holidays, things haven't been moving that quickly.
I am now literally at the end of my rope. I now find myself in the awkward position of having to ask for financial assistance so that I can pay January's rent and my expenses from December and those going forward until I can obtain full-time employment.
I'd be most grateful for any assistance you could give to help me through these desperate times.
Best wishes.
Karen.
