Karen's Kicking Cancer's Butt

Hello All! As some of you know by now, my sister, Karen Brady Brabble, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  In typical Karen style, she is handling it as best she can with lots of jokes and laughter.  But, some days, there are many tears. 
Karen was diagnosed in May with  Stage 2 poorly differentiated duct carcinoma.  She is entering the halfway point of the FIRST round of chemo.  Karen is in a 12 week clinical trial, but that is not where it ends. Once Karen finishes this first round, she will undergo two months of very intense chemo and will be unable to work.  Once that is finished she still has surgery, radiation and hormone therapy for five years. 
Karen is currently working two jobs and the two months that she will be unable to work will take a huge toll on her beautiful family, Kevin, Rhi, Sam and Megan.  She only qualifies for Medicaid's share of cost benefits.  This means that each month she must come up with $1,299 of her treatments.  So far, prescriptions have been nominal but will increase significantly as time goes on.  Karen is receiving treatment by some of the best at Moffitt in Tampa, but this means gas, tolls, food and occasionally, a hotel. 
So between the $1,299 every month plus household expenses at about $1,300 and adding in living expenses for food and gas, they need our help.
I have decided that I, Kim Brady Walsh, will add the incentive to this fundraiser for Karen.  For every $1,000 raised I will cut off an inch of my hair.  When we reach $15,000 I will cut off all of my hair to donate for a wig for a child with cancer AND SHAVE MY HEAD!!
