Hi my name is Laurie and I'm fundraising for Karen Thorp of Karen's Woodworking.

Last night we all experienced the extremely high winds of a winter storm. Karen is now experiencing what we all fear - having the roof literally peel off your house. Peak gusts of more than 140km/hr had us all hunkering down last night. Now she is trying to local her pets and her belongings and save what she can while figuring out how to keep her small business going through it all.

I first met Karen a decade or more ago when she started attending Some Good Market, since then she's become a fixture at craft fairs and I'm sure most homes on the Avalon have a cutting board or crib board she's made. She's also helped a ton of folx with fun activities and fundraisers over the years.

Now it's our turn to help one of our fellow self employed craftspeople. Please help by donating if you can and sharing as well.
