My heart is broken as I share that my beloved wife, Karen, recently passed away after a courageous 13-year battle with breast cancer. She fought with incredible strength and resilience, inspiring everyone around her.

Karen was a vibrant and cherished member of the Fortitude team, the breast cancer survivor dragon boat team at the Fort Langley Canoe Club. This team was a lifeline for her, a community of women who understood her journey in a way no one else could. Karen’s spirit shone brightly on the water. She was known for her fierce competitiveness, her unwavering strength, and her dedication to her team. Her dragon boat medals are a testament to her skill and perseverance.

To honor Karen's memory and to ensure her spirit lives on, I'm raising funds to purchase a dragon boat for the Fort Langley Canoe Club. This boat will not only be a tribute to Karen, but it will also serve as a powerful symbol of hope and awareness for breast cancer. It will help us raise awareness about the importance of early detection and support those still fighting.
