Mike first had a lung transplant in June, had a heart attack, (last night), and has just come through heart surgery. His kidneys have failed so he is on constant dialysis and his Doctors are talking about a kidney transplant.  Understandably, Karen is struggling to keep hope alive but feels like they are back at square one.  Living in a hospital environment and going from one crisis to another for 3 months, is extremely draining emotionally, physically and financially but, in spite of all odds, they have continued to fight for a positive outcome.  Mike and Karen are very dear friends who have worked hard for everything they've ever had and been very proactive in the community. Karen has been the sole bread winner, since Mike became so ill, and her nail salon has been shut down due to COVID-19. Obviously, times are very tight, but if you are able to donate any amount to help with those expenses, I know it would be greatly appreciated.
