Karen "Kirby" Cook needs our help

Karen "Kirby" Cook needs our help as does her daughter, Natasha "Tasha". Karen's first love in her life are her children. Her daughter Tasha lives in Las Vegas, NV and is very ill. It all started last February and is still going on. She is in the hospital for weeks to months, then she goes home for a few days to a week and ends back in the hospital again. It started with gall stones blocking the pancreas, then the pancreas, liver, and kidneys were affected by it. She has had several surgeries done to drain and relieve problems with these organs. Her spleen ended up rupturing and she now has to have transfusions for that.

Karen's wish is for herself, Tasha's son, and her other daughter to fly out to spend time with Tasha - to love her and nurture her, before it is too late. There are no guarantees with her medical issues, and even though Tasha is grown up, she wants her Mom. Her son is here trying to finish his education at Norwood-Norfolk and staying with his dad. 

I know it is a bad time of year and that things are tight for everyone, everywhere, and I pray that as a community we can come together to get this Mom to spend what time she can with her daughter. Any amount you can give will be more than appreciated. We are asking only for airfare round trip for the 3 of them. Please share this with your friends on Facebook and in the community.

We are hoping to raise enough to get them out there the week after Christmas and home three or more weeks later. Please, let's give Karen the best Christmas gift anyone could - to be able to love, hold, and care for her daughter before it is too late.
