Hi, I'm Katya, one of the many people who have been saddened by the loss of our beloved Karen O'Brien, owner of Courage Foods and beloved wife of Jim, mother of Jim Jr. and Devin. Karen was kindness embodied, giving to her community in large and small ways, always with the personal touch that meant so much to everyone who was blessed to meet her. Her community of Kingston Road Village is mourning the loss of her beautiful spirit. We want to raise funds for a tree planted in Memorium by the City of Toronto. Any money that exceeds the required amount for the tree will go back to Courage Foods to continue her legacy and help them through this very difficult time. Karen was a lynchpin and light in this community, allowing many to live better lives through her care. We want to return the kindness to her family.
