Hello everyone, my mom recently had a stroke Tuesday the 9th, 2023. She lost all feeling on the right side of her body from her face all the way down to her right foot.
She has been staying at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital ever since and will be going straight to Kindred Hospital in Sugar Land for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation can last anywhere from two weeks to a month and my mom will remain there at Kindred to try and gain control, strength, speech, and feeling back into the right side of her body.
She is conscious and can talk, but it struggling to do so. Dreadfully, my mom cannot do anything on her own as of right now and thankfully her boyfriend (Ray Smith), her son (Max Nicolayevsky), and myself, her daughter (Jenny Nicolayevsky), are by her side helping her with whatever she needs, around the clock.
Kindred rehabilitation is going to cost $21,000 for two weeks and sadly we do not know how long my mom will be in rehab for as of right now, it all depends on her progression, which is why we are calling on you, our family and friends, for help and support.
My mom is the backbone of our family and she will get through this through her own strength and support from loved ones. She always makes you laugh and is always the party in the room. She always thinks of others before her self and will be there for you no matter what.
My family and I are so grateful for anything and everything that is received to help her in this long journey ahead.
