As many of you know, we have lost our beloved Karen Andrea Murchie. She was a precious mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, teacher and companion and so much more to so many of us. Karen was passionate about the work that she did in the classroom. She helped her students discover their artistic abilities and brought out the very best in them. Artwork made by her students has adorned the corridors of Gateway High School for over ten years. Her own life experience resonated in her teaching, resulting in some truly outstanding art work. Our family has established a scholarship that will be awarded to those Gateway High School art students that are showing exceptional talent.
