Hi! My name is Laura and I've started this GoFundMe campaign so that our good friend, Karen, can focus on her health as she heads into preparations for receiving a new hip on Dec. 19th.

If you know Karen (and even if you aren't so blessed!), she's always the first one to ask how she can help when someone is in need. And now, she needs our help! Being a self-employed Registered Massage Therapist, Karen has helped many people who are in the position she's in now. She had planned to work and save up funds to cover her living expenses and recovery time expenses before the surgery; however her surgery date came up sooner than expected (Dec. 19th). That's a good thing; however, it means that with the pain she's currently experiencing, continuing to work is no longer an option and her recovery will likely take 2-3 months before she can resume work.

So, if you can donate to this fund it would be so fabulous and even more importantly, if you can SHARE THIS FUNDRAISER with everyone you know (whether they know Karen or not), we may be able to reach our goal of $8000. for living expenses for 3 months and to give Karen a worry-free recovery!

Being "vintage" isn't easy but "vintage" means "older, treasured, valued and precious" and if that isn't Karen, I don't know what is!
