We are Holly & Anne and we are fundraising to help Karen make cherished memories with her family and friends following her recent diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and to raise funds for the local branch of the MND Association (MNDA) charity who will be supporting Karen and others in the Milton Keynes area. MND is a cruel terminal disease and this has sadly touched our lives over the last few years as we lost a cherished colleague Mark around 6 years ago and another colleague Hazel has just lost her husband to MND so you can imagine how passionate we are about making this fundraiser a huge success.

Karen has spent the last 20 plus years helping others in her day job where she has worked as part of the Blue Light family helping all those who she has come in contact with. She has been the listening ear to many not just the public but her colleagues and is regarded as the mum of the team. She has also dedicated much of her spare time to charitable causes over the years, working tirelessly with local charities and people to raise money and giving her time and energy to those who need it. It's now our time to help Karen achieve her bucket list and raise essential funding for the MNDA charity who will help raise awareness and research for MND and help those whose are directly affected by it.

Karen is 52 years old and has been married to Kevin for the last 5 years. Karen is loving mum to Daniel 33, Stacey 32 and her youngest Ethan who is 12 years old. She is also a loving grandmother to Amelia and Bailey as well being a step mum to Callum , Elisha and Alana. The diagnosis has been a shock to them all but her continuing strong positive character is an inspiration for all of us.

We would like to be able to support Karen in making special memories for her family and friends and enjoy the time she has with them.

We will be organising a lot of different fundraising events and welcome anyone who would like to contribute in anyway. Please watch this space for updates.
