Karen McHale Memorial Family Fund

My name is Kim Eazell and with the guidance of Karen McHales's husband Matt McHale, I am putting up this Go Fund Me to help with family expenses. All funds and proceeds will go directly to Matt and his children.

 

Karen McHale passed on April 25, 2022, leaving behind her husband Matt and two adult special needs children, Kelsey and Alex.

 

Matt posted this following message the day Karen passed:

 

Ladies and Gentlemen…this is Matt…Karen’s husband…I think you’ve probably guessed where this is going. My beloved Karen, who I’ve been with for over 31 years, passed away this morning at~5:15AM from a heart weakened by two heart attacks and stent rejection. She was 53 years old and the absolute love of my life and bff. Rest well my “Miggy”…I will never forget and always miss you.

 

Karen was the founder of Hollywood Underground back in the mid-1990s. We are a group of gravers who visit the graves of famous and notable. Karen brought us all together with the Yahoo Group she started. We gathered from all over the US and points beyond every year in October. On occasion, we'd meet up, Karen even started the Hollywood Underground dinners that continued for several years.

 

We had guest speakers, shared ideas, had give away's and raised money to place headstones on actors graves that had not been marked by the families.

 

She rescued Actress Ann Sheridan's ashes and got her placed at Hollywood Forever. This starting off a tradition of helping place others ashes or marking graves of the famous who were not marked. That practice still happens today.

 

Karen was a stay at home mom who took care of her special needs children. Karen was instrumental in finding any care and help she needed to raise both her children with her husband Matt. Karen loved Kelsey and Alex deeply and fight or do anything for her kids to make their life better.

 

Sadly Karen had heart issues and her sudden death at 53 has shocked us all. Karen had some underlying heart issues, like her father, sadly the stent that was placed last year was rejected and Karen had 2 heart attacks. 4 days before her passing Karen posted on her Facebook page about woman's signs of heart attacks which is nothing to what a man will experience.

 

To make matters worse. Matt was laid off from his job Friday before Karen passed. Leaving him a single father to raise his two children. Karen did all the household financing and to Matt's surprise left them a little tight for the time being.

 

Matt is asking for some help to relieve him of the obligations that the family needs. He is working with all the outlets he needs to get the kids benefits that will help them.

 

At this time I am asking if you can donate to help Matt and the kids to get them through a few of months. Matt now being the sole caregiver to his children is going to be a challenge and with your help it will relieve a few months.

 

All funds will be going to Matt McHale, Karen's husband and the kids.

 

Karen brought us friends all together. She did that. And all of us are so saddened by her sudden death. She gave to all and now it's time for us to give back.
