Karen Hernandez Medical

Many of you know Karen Hernandez, our DRC Student Intern, who always greets you with a smile and a pleasant personality. I met Karen in 2018 when she first enrolled in trade tech; she was able to transfer to CSULB after two years with a major in Political Science. One of her dreams is to continue a graduate program. She has worked at the Dream Resouce Center for about three years as a Student Intern and is the mother of two beautiful teenage boys.

Recently, Karen had to undergo some medical exams where they discovered that she had a mass in her thyroid. She had previously been through Thyroid cancer treatment and thought everything was fine. This Friday, she will undergo another surgery where they will remove what was left of her thyroid and start radiation treatment.

Karen is not a full-time employee and will be out while recuperating. We ask you to help us collect some funds to make sure Karen has enough money to pay for her medical expenses while she is out from work. She depends solely on her Trade Tech salary. We appreciate your support.
