Karen Goodale Family Memorial

Karen Goodale was an amazing mother, wife, sister and grandmother. She enjoyed the little things in life, reading, baking, swimming and watching the Mets. Her love for her husband, Ken, her children, John Miner and Kelly Goodale, and her grandkids, Camryn & Jacob Miner - were unmatched. She was a humble woman that lived to nurture the people around her and would do anything for the people she loved. She worked for podiatrists Dr. Harold and Gary Poster for 27 years where she met some of her most beloved friends.

In 2007, she had a Chiari malformation and had brain surgery to modify her brain stem. When recovery didn’t go as planned, they realized this masked the symptoms of what they later found to be Multiple Sclerosis. In 2011, it progressed from there taking her ability to walk among many other hardships. She had a long battle, and ultimately succumbed to complications on May 23rd 2023 at home surrounded by her loved ones.

We are raising proceeds to go to the family for funeral associated costs, and the MS Society which Karen reached out to for support during the last 12 years. She learned a lot about MS and had a community to help her through everything she was facing which we are very grateful for as we learned alongside her.
