Karen Gingrich Memorial - In lieu of flowers

In honor of our Mother, Karen Gingrich, we are fundraising (in lieu of flowers) for three excellent organizations that aid those who suffer from mental illness - all in various ways. Once we reach (or pass!) our goal, we will donate equally to each of the following organizations. Please take some time to read about them below:
Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA):
over the years, our Mother found comfort in this nationwide support group via in person meetings with both those who suffer from mental illness and their family members. DBSA also does a lot of work in educating the public about bipolar disorder and depression and reducing the stigma of mental illness.

7 Cups:
7 Cups is the worlds largest emotional support system. They have over 180 professional therapists and over 300,000 trained listeners accross the globe. It also helps make individual therapy affordable for those who have difficulty making ends meet. Axis I and Axis II mental disorders are associated with lower levels of income, something that our Mother experienced as a barrier to care.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
NAMI is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by severe mental illness. NAMI works to educate, advocate, listen and lead to improve the lives of people with mental illness and their loved ones.
