Karen Getten-Powell

Hi, my name is Allan Powell and featured in the photo is my loving darling wife who recently passed away from cancer. She battled....no, we battled cancer together, as I watched her struggles, escorted her to her appointments, comforted her all the way through, and hoped for victories and a miracle. We wanted her unrecoverable cancer to take a turn on the dime and make it recoverable.

She was the best and ideal partner I could have had by my side as I served in the Marines. As I got orders to go off she was prepared to take care of the household duties and be a supportive mom to our beautiful daughter. Always a can-do attitude and never an unwavering spirit. She was a joy and a beloved soul in the community, always waving and conversating with those that passes by.

It's a sad and heartbreaking loss for the family. To be taken as young as 52 years undercut her will to continue to give, enjoy life, and to love. We will miss this beautiful woman for the rest of our lives.
