Karen Furth - Medical Treatments & Living Expenses

Dear Family and Friends of Karen....
Karen was diagnosed a few weeks ago with Breast Cancer and unfortunately this is her second time fighting this disease. She beat it a few years back with chemo and radiation and incurred over $25,000 of out-of-pocket medical expenses .
This time is different. She will need chemo and a double mastectomy (and we are told that insurance may not cover the second breast). She has already incurred expenses for a CT Scan, MRI, Blood Work, and her copay today for Chemo was $250. She will have Chemo once a week until at least May. Then Surgery in June or July.
In addition to the medical expenses she may lose wages if she does not have enough leave to cover her time off.
Because she is already incurring expenses for tests and chemo, the need is urgent to assist her however we can.
Karen is so thankful for all her family and friends and the outpouring of support and love she has received. We will appreciate any help you can give Karen.
