Karen Drift's Ojibwe Language Learning Games
Donation protected
Boozhoo everybody,
My name is Daanis Chosa. I am the granddaughter of Karen and Lester Drift. For those of you who know my grandma Karen, know that she is and always has been very passionate about teaching the Ojibwe/Anishinaabe language. She was a Head Start Teacher for Bois Forte for many, many years and taught a lot of children the language. She has been a life-long teacher to many others as well, including myself and my family. Recently, she has created a board game to help teach youth and adults Anishinaabe-mowin and has been able to get a few professionally developed. She now has many people that are interested in the board game and who also think it's important to learn and/or teach the language.
I created this fundraiser on behalf of her and her lifelong mission to teach the Ojibwe language. I strongly believe this board game will be her legacy and I am happy that myself and my family are able to contribute in different ways. These funds will go directly to my grandma Karen so that she can have many more board games made so that she can continue on with her lifelong goal.
Our goal is to raise at least $2,000. Please contribute whatever you can and feel free to share with anyone you know may be interested in contributing.
Chi-miigwech for your help and support!
