Muscular dystrophy is a group of inherited genetic disorders which causes progressive muscular weakness and wasting. Symptoms usually appear in childhood, leading to decreased mobility and various complications.

Oliver's type of MD is an LMNA-related variant which causes more severe complications with the heart and respiratory system. He was diagnosed last year at only 5 yes old. He is currently doing well, but he has regularly monitoring to ensure we can support any changes early.

There is currently no cure for MD, with treatments only focusing on managing symptoms, which is why raising awareness is so important. By helping us to raise money, we can push for better care, research and treatments. Most importantly, we can hope for a better future for those with this cruel disease and hope to see significant changes in the near future.
