Karen Barragan Romero Funeral Fund

Hi, my name is Christina and I am hosting a Go Fund Me for the funeral of my mom, Karen Barragan Romero.

Karen was born on July 16, 1962 and grew up in the San Fernando Valley.

She attended Bishop Alemany High School. She graduated from Cal State University, Northridge with her B.A. in Child & Adolescent Development. She continued her education to receive her M.A. in Counseling Psychology, Marriage Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

She became a Marriage, Family and Children Therapist and had her own private practice. She had a fruitful career and helped many children and families restore their mental health and mend relationships.

She was married for 20 years and had 2 children, Christina and Richard. Her pride and joy. She had a couple furry friends along the way. Her greatest companion of all was Charlie. She always valued friends and family.

She would lighten up the room with her beautiful smile and welcoming attitude. She loved to jam out to her favorite songs and dance the night away. Oh how she loved her high heels, hats, jewelry and sunglasses!

On December 12, 2022, she passed away. We want to give Karen the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes. I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Karen’s funeral. We need to raise $6,000 by beginning of January in order to be able to afford the funeral service.
