Karen Balbi

Hi, my name is Nancy & I am a longtime friend of the Balbi family.

On January 6th, Karen unexpectedly passed away. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and colleague who touched the lives of so many. She left behind her husband Chris, her daughter, Emily (10), and her son, Logan (6) (and Hershey the dog, too).

Karen dedicated her life to raising her children and spending as much time as possible with her extended family. She planned countless family vacations, complete with matching t-shirts, and documented the good times with plenty of photos and selfies. Karen worked as a pelvic floor physical therapist and in her “free time” she rooted for the kids at their softball/baseball games, encouraged their love of music (Emily, the violin and Logan, the trumpet), and was active in their school.

Karen was always the life of the party: she loved to eat and drink and laugh… and that laugh was infectious. She was an outgoing person who could literally talk to anyone and make them immediately feel comfortable. Karen was an amazing friend who always helped without expecting anything in return. She was not only THE nicest person, she was also the most generous. Karen was very religious and would constantly tell you how blessed she was… but we were the ones who were truly blessed to have her in our lives, even if only for a short while.

Karen worked so hard to provide for her family. With permission of the family, I have set up this fund to help with her children’s future expenses. Please consider donating, as any amount will help.
