Hi, my name is Rafael Sanchez. My wife Luz Marina and I are fundraising for our beautiful and wonderful goddaughter Karelia Perez. We still remember the day when we saw her for the first time when she was 9 months old, it was a joyful day. Today Karelia is 24 years young and is battling brain cancer. This past Saturday on December 10, she underwent a 6 hour operation to remove a 7cm mass (the size of an apple) from her frontal lobe. Next week she will start cancer treatment. Karelia has shown the strength, courage and faith that very few of us could muster. We all have been amazed by her spirit. Yesterday, she said with a smile on her face and with 69 stitches on her scalp that she was at peace. It made us cry!. I want all of our friends and her friends to help her parents who are our family and who are under financial stress to relieve the burden of the expenses that will be showing up soon.
