My name is Sarah Kasson, the Chappell/Nikoui family has been a part of my life for 21 years. I met them when I was just 10 years old, right before Kareem’s mother, Shana got pregnant with him, so needless to say I’ve known him his whole life. His oldest sister Shaelynn was my best friend in elementary and middle school and continues to be a dear friend to me. His mom and I are also very close. This family truly means the world to me. Kareem is a true hero in my eyes and my heart breaks for this unthinkable tragedy. I would like to help the family by raising money for his memorial and anything else they may need while enduring this horrific event. Nothing will bring him back but I am hoping this may help them in some way. Anything helps. Thank you.

Kareem is my nephew. He was & always will be our hero. He was a light in our family. Funny, charming, driven, talented & dedicated to being a Marine. This was my sister’s worst fear & it has now come to life. As you can imagine, the pain for them is unbearable. We are hoping to raise money for things like groceries, gas, cleaning services, etc anything that will lighten the load as they mourn & navigate this awful reality. We thank you for any support.
