Hello all, family, friends and future friends.
Our sweet Kristine as most know has been struggling with her health, since the birth of her beautiful baby Scarlett. Robert and Kristine welcomed Scarlett into the world on April 17, 2022. She’s a wonderful, active, smart, healthy and happy baby. Mom on the other hand, has and is still suffering with complications from the birth.
After seeking many professional opinions and searching for answers… They believe Kristine is suffering from a spinal leak, due to receiving an epidural. The statics on this happening are 5 and 100,000. The fluid that is leaking from her spine is the same fluid that surrounds your brain. This is causing extreme pressure all around her head, she’s having trouble with lifting, staying balanced while standing or walking and simple movements from her shoulders and arms. Even picking up Scarlett has become more of a task, rather than pleasure. Kristine received one unsuccessful procedure to correct it and unfortunately the specialists for this medical issue are all out of state. While we wait for more answers and guidance, we are searching high and low for answers locally.
Kristine has not been able to return to work through all of this. She is a 2nd grade teacher and has been teaching for four years. She was not able to start this new school year, as she had planned. This has put an immense financial burden on Robert and Kristine. Kristine has always been someone who you can count on, a care giver, determined, positive and THE MOST hard working person I’ve ever seen. We are saddened and absolutely heart broken to see Kristine this way.
Six months of being essentially immobile and in pain, is six months to long. So, for this nightmare she is now living in to be reality; we are reaching out to our village and community for help. They say it takes a village and I know how grateful Robert, Kristine and Scarlett will be for any and all help. Please consider donating to a family more deserving than I’ve ever seen. Thank you for your positivity, prayers and help through this journey, as we continue to push forward for the health and Kare for Kristine.
