Kara’s Cancer Diagnosis

Donation protected
A month ago my sweet girl Kara was diagnosed with transitional cell carcinoma (bladder cancer). Life changed over night when I noticed her straining to urinate. I took her to an emergency hospital that night where they told me she was obstructed, and drained her bladder. From there I was referred to a different emergency hospital. After preforming diagnostics, they told me it was cancer and I would need to euthanize her. I couldn’t accept this as my only option. Kara has always been a healthy girl and showed no signs of illness other than struggling to urinate. She had just had a vet appointment two weeks prior for a healthy check up. I drove two hours away to a different hospital where a doctor was able to place two urinary stents to relieve her obstruction. After two weeks with the stents I noticed her struggling to urinate. I took her back to the hospital and they told me the stents had broken. She is now in need of another procedure that I’m assuming will run an additional $5-$10k to what I have already paid. The total cost between the three hospitals have cost me around $14,000 so far, not including her specialized diet, medication, and gas to make the two hour drive seven times. I normally would not ask for help but this is my last resort. I’m struggling to get the funds for her next procedure. I’ve worked so hard to keep her alive this past month. She is only six years old and still so full of life and love. Any donation would help and be so appreciated.
