Karanja is getting a kidney, now he needs a hand...
Donation protected
Thank you everyone for your outpouring of positive vibes and responses to Karanja's recent post. Now comes the hard part… asking for help. Karanja will be staying with me during his recovery after his kidney transplant. I'm asking you all to share this post and links so that we can help support his healing process with less stress. Many of you have reached out to offer help, and here are the details:
Karanja will need help covering co-pays and medical expenses that are not covered by insurance (including anti-rejection medication). He will also need financial assistance for bills the roughly 8 weeks he will be out of work. We have been working on figuring out what it will look like to cover his mortgage, utilities, and other expenses, as he will not be able to receive a paycheck until he returns to work (PTO has already been exhausted). We are asking for your generosity in this time of need. If you require a receipt for your donation please reach out to me. For now, you can donate to me or Karanja directly via CashApp, Venmo, PayPal, or donate to this GoFundMe.
After he gets settled in and we know more about what meals will be like, we will also post a link on how you can help by sending food. While flowers are wonderful, please do NOT send flowers, because his immune system will be heavily compromised. Visitors will be limited for a while, but please reach out to us and we will let you know when you can visit safely, and what those guidelines will be.
Please Share.
