Hi. I am Dr. Paul Lokubal, a medical Dr. from Uganda studying a PhD in population health from the University of Oxford. I come from Karamoja, one of the poorest regions in Uganda, where over half a million people are at risk of starvation. Thousands of people have died from hunger in the last two weeks alone.
Another 23,000 children face severe acute malnutrition and could die in the following days if they do not receive emergency help.
Longoli Simon, an activist with the Karamoja Development Forum and myself are making a call to you to raise money to reach the most in need of urgent food. We are working with a team of volunteers to get help to the most vulnerable.
With twenty-five pounds, a family of five people can eat one meal a day for a month, saving them from dying from hunger.
We are appealing for your help to raise £20,000 to give 4000 people one meal a day for a month.
