Kara's Masters Degree
Donation protected
This is a campaign for my sister Kara, a beautifully gifted queer black woman, who has epilepsy, a determined, energetic and creative spirit, a protective heart, and a deep passion for making music.
In the picture, She and I have graduated with Bachelors Degrees, from Mansfield University and Temple University, respectively.
I've since moved to New York and Kara has since gone to get her Masters Degree at Temple University, my alma mater. And she's in the last lap of the educational race for this degree. Growing up in the public school system, in poverty, and in an education system that is not built for black liberation can cause you to take out crazy loans, take on multiple jobs or even join the US Army, like I did, just to get your education, because it IS that important to you.
Because we know that education and application of that education is fundamental to our own liberation.
More importantly, my sister is a black woman at the intersection of many identities. She is special and she is one of many.
Every contribution matters! Give a little! Give a Lot! To help my Kara complete her degree! Her goal is $3,000. It may take one person, but it often takes a village. I know we can do this!
Here's Kara's Cashapp: $karaforyou
