20+ years ago, Kara fought a battle and won against Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Treatment included chemo and radiation for 2 golf ball sized tumors next to her heart. Kara is now fighting a new battle. The treatment that saved her life back then is jeopardizing her life now. Kara underwent a triple bypass surgery on 10/28/20, to repair damage to her arteries from the radiation 20 years ago. There have been multiple complications, and Kara is currently fighting for her life again. She remains in ICU. They are unable to close her up due to swelling. She has had bleeding problems as well. Kara has a strong spirit, and I know she can survive this. Her road to recovery is going to be long and tough. This gofundme is to help offset the costs of lost wages, whatever therapies insurance will not cover, and to decrease the stress that her husband and son are already facing.
