Our hearts are heavy Gregory B. Proffitt, Esq., 45, of Marriottsville, MD, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, died Monday, May 21, 2018 at his home. Born April 10, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was the son of Marianne Petro Proffitt and the late Ben Proffitt. He was the beloved husband of Kara Proffitt. They had been together for 24 years and married for 16 of those years.
Greg was a devoted husband, father and brother. In addition to his mother and wife, Greg is survived by his children Alexander, 10 and Mia, 6 Proffitt. He was preceded in death by daughter Ava Maureen Proffitt.
No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. However, take comfort in knowing that Greg is now resting in the arms of our Lord.
When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. May you take comfort in knowing that you have an angel to watch over you now. There are so many that extend the most sincere condolences to his wife Kara and children Alex and Mia.
Greg will be truly missed by many and his family held in our hearts and arms during this time as we keep him in our daily prayers.
Greg was a wonderful man and an absolutely amazing, supportive and loving husband and father who will be missed by many.
