In its third year of existence, the Katherine Anne Porter School Archery team qualified to compete at the NASP National Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky! We would love to take our team of 22 students to represent our school and our state at the national level but need a lot of help to get there.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to cover transportation, lodging, meals, and registration* for the entire team to travel to Louisville on May 7th. No donation amount is too big or too small but here are some suggested gift levels:
$10,000 to fund airfare for entire team.
$2,500 to fund 6 hotel rooms for 3 nights.
$1,500 to fund meals for entire team.
$600 to fund all travel expenses for one student.
$400 to fund airfare for one student.
$140 to fund one hotel room for one night.
$60 to fund meals for one student.
$30 to fund registration fees for one student.

Katherine Anne Porter School, or KAPS, is a tuition-free, public charter high school located in Wimberley, Texas and serving students from Dripping Springs, San Marcos, Kyle, Buda, Wimberley, and the surrounding area. Over half of our students are considered low-income and at-risk by the Texas Education Agency but we believe that ALL of our students deserve opportunities to succeed in smaller classes and a supportive, creative learning environment. Kids come to KAPS because they want to be here and because we are able to offer unique courses and an individualized approach to education.
As a public charter school, we receive about $1,000 less per student than traditional public schools. We rely on donations and fundraisers to help close this gap and provide the additional funding we need for classrooms, supplies, and student services.
Please consider contributing to help our deserving and talented students attend the National Tournament!
Thank you!

*The National Tournament allows only a certain number of qualified teams to register. Due to our assigned registration tier, there is a possibility that spots in the tournament will fill up before we are allowed to register. If that should happen, the funds raised in this campaign would go toward refurbishing our current archery equipment, purchasing new equipment including recurve bows and 3D targets, and funding future trips and events.
