Last night, my sister Korina experienced every parent’s worst nightmare. She lost her baby boy. This is not the first time she has had to endure this kind of heartbreak. This is the second child she has lost, and the weight of that grief is unimaginable.

As if this devastating loss wasn’t enough, Korina is now facing a crisis no grieving mother should have to endure. Less than 12 hours after losing her baby, she is being forced to pack up her belongings and find somewhere else to go, leaving her suddenly without stable housing in a state far away from her family and support system.

Korina is trying to navigate this unbearable grief while also caring for her two other children, who need her now more than ever. At the same time, she is facing the unexpected financial burden of funeral and cremation costs for her son.

We are asking for help to give Korina the space and support she needs to grieve, protect her children, and begin to rebuild after this tragedy. Donations will go toward:
