With great sadness we share the news of the untimely passing of Kapil Ranji Thampan, a dear friend, colleague, and hero to our community.

Kapil was a great human being - a devoted father to two lovely daughters, loving husband, teacher, cheery colleague, and genuine friend.

Kapil tragically lost his life in a car accident on June 10th, 2025 after suffering life threatening injuries.

Mr. Thampan was a well beloved father and husband who always had a smile on his face. He would light up any room he was in. Above this, he was a talented musician, composer and sound engineer back in Bahrain and Kerala, India.

Kapil and his family had moved to Canada to embark on a new chapter in their lives less than a year ago. He was studying Digital Marketing in pursuit of a new career, while working as a driver and teaching keyboard lessons to support his family.

Now, his wife Ambli and their two daughters are left to cope with this tragic, inconceivable loss—not only emotionally, but also financially. Kapil’s absence leaves a deep, unimaginable void in their lives.
